When I began working at Instructure, I was one of a only a few IDs. Most of the design techniques revolved around Google Draw. During my first year, I increased the design capacity of the instructional designer team by supplying copious amounts of ready-to-use code, hosting professional developments, and showcasing new and accessible design possibilities. Now these are standard practices at Instructure, and our department exploded with new clients that we continue to surprise and delight. Our clients now see the creative potential that can be unlocked by hiring a skilled Instructional Designer.
